KeKeSeB I am still having this issue and when looking in the dss advanced settings, I noticed the cabling of the awning seems inverted. Could this be the reason?
I doubt it. But if so, then the effect would be apparent at the P44 level already. When you operate the awning from the P44-DSB web interface (0..100% slider in the sprocket icon dialog), does it work correctly – 100% fully open, 0% fully closed? The same way it does when operated dSS?
That dSS "direction of travel" setting is meant for cases where the wires of the motor were connected the wrong way (or other circumstances led to the motor operating the opposite direction than intended). So if you did not set that flag yourselves, I guess that was done at installation for a reason, and should only make the awning behave "normally" despite non-standard wiring.
Note that this DS level "direction of travel" flag has the same purpose as the matter side "MotorDirectionReversed" flag discussed earlier in this thread: to correct direction in case the connected device moves in a non-standard way.
However, the two are not linked or mirrored in any way, it's just that both systems (DS and matter) are aware that such misconnected hardware is a thing that happens, and provide a way to correct it.
So in your case, the DS flag should be set such that the awning operates according to standard dS logic, that is 0%=closed, 100%=open, in dSS and P44 web UI. Based on that, the mapping to matter will be correct without any further ado.
If it still appears incorrect in matter controllers, that would be bugs in the controllers. Alexa did have such a bug (now apparently corrected according to feedback from Alexa users) for many months, where the "open" and "close" commands were simply giving the wrong matter commands - whereas setting a percentage was working correctly. Maybe there's such an inconsistency in HA too?
